    84 MR - Substitute Tool For Replacing Lower Shift Shaft Bushing?

    MR outdrive trim tab set screw stripped and rusted

    I have a 1984 Mercruiser MR and cannot remove the zinc trim tab to separate the lower unit. The set screw is rusted and stripped so the allen head wrench just spins. Any ideas how to get this screw out? Maybe drill it out? Thanks
