    mercruiser 260 dies when shifting from reverse to neutral. any ideas. have done a little research and sounds like maybe a lower shift cable deal maybe but i wondered if anyone has had same problems and had an easy fix.

    Ok I have a 1982 sea ray. First boat ever. Know very very little about engines or anything. Basically had problems all last summer and had reasons to believe it was bad gas.     Mercruiser trim problems

    Bought a 1982 Sea Ray last year with a merc 260. Trim worked fine for a week and then i stopped working right. Only raises while moving slow and leaks down pretty quick. Wont raise at all while driving fast. Any ideas?? New boat owner so i know nothing.
