I have fitted several oil seals to my prop shaft on my mariner 150 but it still leak . The latest seal is as good a fit as i can see. So I am stumped. Any suggestions pls ? Should i add a layer of say silicone sealant or like before pressing in the seal ? thks

I have a size 50 cents chip on the trailing circular edge of my propeller hub. How will this affect performance/durability ? I haven't yet time to put boat back in water. Engine is a mariner 150. thank you.
