I have a Hewitt boat lift with a 24V direct drive. The installers used 2 12V dual purpose batteries. In addition I have a solar panel charging kit from Hewitt. In five years I have had to replace the batteries 3 time in spite of infrequent use. Is it possible that I am using the wrong type...
