I just bought a 1997 21ft Regal with a 4.3 Liter Volvo Penta sterndrive. At idle in the water the temperature gauge reads about 120. At about 1500 rpm it stays about 150. Once the boat is on a plane the temperature slowly rises (about 5 minutes of running) to about 190. Drop back to a high idle...
