    Bow hop

    What are some reasons for bow hopping?????<br />If I try to trim my outboard too much then the bow starts to really hop.<br />18' westcoaster bayrunner & 85hp yamaha outboard on a 6" offset trim & tilt plate. 13 1/8 x 16 SS prop @ 5,200 rpm

    I have a 1990 85hp yamaha. I don't have a manual for it. Can anyone tell me what the rpm range for it would be???

    1990 85hp yamaha rpm

    I can't find anywhere that tells me what my rpm range is for my 85hp. Currently its on an 18' light aluminum boat, the tach shows it running at 5200 rpm and boat speed is around 39mph. I am running a stock aluminum 13.25x17 prop. Can anyone give me any ideas on how to improve my performance???
