    2000/50hp Suzuki coughs on excelleration

    When I go on plane it coughs and sputters. When on plane,it's fine. 2 weeks ago, it would not stay running. I pulled the plugs and the middle plug was wet. I changed the plugs and it ran fine. Yesterday it was coughing and sputtering again! Any ideas? Mike

    I just bought a new boat with a 50 hp 4 stroke Suzuki.(1999) It did not come with the operating book. What is the safe RPM to cruise. I have been running at around 5200 rpm. Thanks

    runs rough after warm

    1996 Evinrude,35 hp 3 cyl. Runs great for about 5 minutes. Then it coughs and hacks and won't go on plane. I've rebuilt the carbs and got a new ball form the gas tank. Any ides on what to try next?

    Evinrude starter

    I have a 1996 35 hp 3 cylinder. The problem is the starter goes in reverse when I turn on the key. My battery is connected properly. I don't have a clue!
