    broken head bolt

    1988 70 Yamaha. :confused: Well I did it. Broken the number 12 head bolt in the head(last one to come out). It broke with about 3/16" sticking out the head. Does anyone have any sugesstion.

    1988 70 Yam overheating (head or too lean??)

    I have a 1988 70 yam that is overheating and tripping alarm at high RPM, above 4200 rpm. I replaced water impeller with kit. Motor runs all day under 4000RPM. Thermodisc tested ok. Compression is 130psi top,125psi middle, 122psi bottom. I was told could be possible head gasket or Carbs too lean...

    88 Yam 70 overheating@ high RPMs

    I have a 1988 70 yamaha that is over heating at high rpm. It alarms above 4000rpm. I can run the thing all day along under 4000 rpm. I replaced the water pump and thermostat. I also checked the thermodisc it's ok. what else should i do. Motor runs and starts great. Thanks for all and any...

    check compression on 1986 70 Yamaha???

    How do I check the compression on a 1986 70 Yamaha? Do I need to ground the plugs or can I just pull the safety kill switch? Do I test W.O.T.? What should the pressure be?<br /><br />thanks :confused:
