    water in lower unit

    First I want to say thank you to everyone who has helped me over the past couple of weeks. My 1955 25 hp evinrude has gone for a paper weight to a motor. I had filled up lower unit with new oil when I started. I let it out today and it was tan and there was water. I have not had it in gear yet...

    Did I mess anything up?

    Long story short... I got a 1955 25 hp big twin recently. Read the can wrong (some of writing is missing) and mixed gas :oil at 20:1. Haven't run it much because I haven't been able to get it to run consistently and it has been smoking a lot (go figure). Did this damage anything else?

    pressure tank. how does it work?

    I am working on (And failing) a 1955 25hp big twin. I think I have it narrowed down to gas flow issue (see other thread). Today I changed the air and fuel lines from tank to motor. I tried blowing in air hole and couldn't. I then hooked up bike tire pump to nipple and couldn't get any air in...
