    do you have to use merc. mercruiser oil in an 1985 i/o 3.7l merc ? why can't use reg. 10w/30 mtr oil?

    mercruiser impeller cover

    i have a 88 mercruiser i/o 3.7l 165hp. do i have to take off the flywheel to remove the impeller cover? how do i get the cover off? its loose but doesn't want to come out...its alum. so i don't want to force anything....does the flywheel have to come off ?
