    Cone Clutch - SX-M

    Gonna have a go at replacing the cone clutch this weekend if time permits. The service bulletin states that when installing the new cone, Do Not re install the C clip, spring washer, and spring. I don't know if I can get to the c clip and spacer without a special tool to remove the lower gear...

    Hello all, I need to change the shift cone in an SX drive. I suspect the forward gear cup will be glazed. Does anybody know which gear cup is the forward one? Is it the gear on the top or the bottom side of the cone? Thanks

    Stumped - Shift delay 4.3 gl SX drive

    Hello all, I'm stumped. Here's the problem.. When shifting into forward there is a NOTICEABLE delay (2seconds) before I feel the drive engage. Reverse engages without any issue. I believe the controls are teleflex SL-3 side mount with trim. Here's the facts... With the shift linkage disengaged...

    SX Outdrive Cavity Drain

    Hello all, I was winterizing yesterday, and blew antifreeze through water pump intake hose and it shot out the outdrive intake as it should. However, the only thing slowly dripping out the cavity drain is raw water. Should antifreeze drip out this hole as well? I can't seem to find a schematic...

    Remote Shift Removal

    Hello, I'm looking for some advice on how to remove the side/flush mount controls on my 2000 Four Winns Horizon (VP 4.3GL PEFS, SX-M) as I need to replace the shift cable. I believe it is an OMC shifter # 176911. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
