    Hi all, I was draining the engine oil pan to replace the oil for the winter in my 1985 Mercruiser 140HP MR motor and near the end it came out with white streaks , see photo. Does this look like cause for concern? If there was water mixed into the oil, wouldn't it be a light brown color? I did...

    I think I have an engine leak. 1985 Mercruiser 140 sterndrive

    See photo. What kind of a leak does this look like? It seem to be a recent leak next to the push rod cover. Next question, how do I stop the leak? :)

    Broken bolt question

    1985 Mercruiser 140 4 cyl. Engine. Tried to replace the manifold end cap and broke the first bolt. I was thinking manifold bolts would be tough, but I guess the part being so old it was frozen. See photo. Do I need to get a bolt in it right away or can it wait until next Spring to drill it...

    Is this normal appearance of grease on top of drive shaft, Merc MR sterndrive

    I know the splines are supposed to be greased but is this normal to see looking up at the water pocket cover? I'm changing the impeller and I noticed this.
