My 1980 165 Mercruiser steerin cable has 2 nuts and a long nut with a pin in it holding it to the transome mount. The nut furthest tword the right end looks like it has to come off to get the cable to slide out to the left from the mount but the aluminum cable housing is not threaded all the way...
