    anyone know the correct size spark plugs for a 1964 mercury 9.8 horse, the motor was given to me and had 2 diff plugs jammed into it, ruining the threads. before i repair the treads i need to know what size repair inserts to buy, thank you.

    can anyone help me in determining what year this mercury 9.8 is that was given to me? im sure it is from the 60's, but is there any sure way to identify the year?

    mecury 9.8 throttle problems

    i have recently been given a 9.8 murcury, im not sure of the year but im guessing around 66-67, my question is the throttle linkage is off and i dont know how to adjust it, i turn the throttle and it doesnt engage the carb until the trottle is almost all the way open, thust only opening the carb...
