    foldup swim platform?

    is there a way to make a swim platform fold up by using a hinge? I haven't seen this around and would seem to be a good invention as it would save boat owners money at the marina by decreasing the overall length charged for a slip.

    can anyone provide info about a process for removing paint from the hull using a process similar to sandblasting which uses ground up peanut shells. I am considering using this process and would like to know what cost to expect for a 28ft boat. thanks in advance.

    Wood trim question

    I'd like to change the rather tired looking mouldings on my boat. They are theones that are used to trim the cabinets and such.     I'm planning to replace the carpeting in the cabin of my 28' Silverton. Is it OK to use the laminate/floating floor ( Pergo etc.) instead of carpet? Does anyone have experience with this type of product in a marine application?<br /><br />Thanks in advance.
