    no water from tell/tale

    i just bought a 2001 150hp mercury, when i start it no water comes out of the pee hole. i never let it run long enough to get up to temp, cause i was scared tp ruin something more. But i did some reading on this forum first and i'm under the impression that it will not pee until the t-stats...

    tie wraps

    could using normal tir on the fuel lines make it sneeze i heardb there are special omc wraps to use. Is this true?

    still sneezing

    I have a 140hp johnson outboard not sure of year, i bought it from a friend of a friend who states its numerous years. The problem i am having is the engine will not idle, it keeps sneezing and stalls abruptly. I rebuilt both carbs, i put to new t-stats in(never again its a bubbleback) new plugs...

    rebuilt carbs now having problems

    i have a 1985 140 hp johnson i was having problems with it at low idle. the compession was good and i had good spark so i rebuilt the carb. Now when i start it the engine sound like it runsaway like starting it in full throttle. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    air valve

    i just rebuild my carbs what is the air valve on top it looks like a bike tire valve, do i have to do anything with that when i reinstall the carbs

    hard starting

    i have a 1985 johnson 115 outboard that runs great at fast idle but at low idle is stalls. i have to give it lots of gas to start it, and keep it running with lots of throttle. When i pull back it spits and stalls immediately.
