    1969 Evinrude 85 hp electric shift lower unit pre-installation test

    Need to replace my son's electric shift lower unit<br />which he just damage on rocks, I have a few of these old lower units, how can I test one to be sure it is working properly before installation?<br />Thanks

    1980 Johnson 60 hp 2 cylinders (overheating)

    Just bought this motor, placed it in a drum of water, starts good cold, overheats quickly, noticed that the water more than tricles out the outlet ports & should be warm but is cold like the water in the drum. What would stop it from circulating through the motor to cool it off?<br />HELP

    1969 Evinrude 85 hp won't shut off.

    Starts & runs good, but keeps running when I turn the ignition key off. even when I removed the negative cable from the battery it ran for a while.
