My control box for my 1975 Mercury 115HP, serial number 4117062, is basically worn out. Shifts very loose, neutral switch needs replacing, plastic handle cracked, etc. Where can I get a good (or bad) used one for parts? Thanks guys.
I pulled the flywheel to replace the stator. I am also replacing the timing belt to the distributor. The old one was rotten and broke in half when I pulled the flywheel. What is the preferred method to install a new one? I looks like I will have to remove the stator mounting backet. How do I...
My 1975 Merc in line 6 has developed a problem. It will start and run fine for a few minutes then cut off. Starts right back up. Runs another few mins does same. Starts right back. Any ideas? Thanks
Stops like it was cut off at ignition. Starts right back. May run 10 mins may run 10 seconds. Does it again, starts right back. Motor is also not charging the battery. Any help out there is much appreciated
