    Aluminum boat in saltwater

    I just bought a 1989 16'6 SeaArk with a 50hp force the boat is in great shape garage kept previous owner stated no saltwater use.I want to use the boat for flats fishing my question is do aluminum boats corrode faster.

    Everglades/Holiday park report 12/31/06

    Took the kids out from 7-Noon Very windy 15 mph.Kids got 5 bass 1 over 3lbs on shiners.I had no bites using top water and flipping soft baits switched to shiners caught 2 small bass.I just got a used boat so I didnt go too far out next time Ill try getting into the flats areas.
