    175 Efi Oil

    Bought a boat with a 1999 Merfcury 175EFI on it. The previous owner has been running Mercurcy DFI/Optimax oil in it. Is this the proper oil or should it be using something else? Is this OK or could damage have occured?

    Parts needed

    Can anybody tell me where I can pickup a motor cover Gasket seal(P/N 0206389) for a 1970 9.5 Evinrude? Also I need Ignition wires.. Can I just make them from any 7MM wires?

    1970 Evinrude 9.5 sport twin

    When I ran it today on the hose, I noticed that there was gas/oil leaking out of the lower unit onto the skeg. I know that it needs to be sealed and will do this when I do the water pump. I am just trying to figure out wher the gas/oil mixture is coming from?
