    Where to find driveshaft, 1977 25HP

    Looking at the store here, they don't seem to have driveshafts for anything under 85HP. I need a new driveshaft for my 1977 25HP Evinrude, model 25702S. Needs to be short shaft, longshaft is way too long on my boat. Have a full longshaft conversion kit if someone wants to trade.

    Lower Unit Leak

    the circled plug is leaking gear oil from it's center. This appears to lead to the bushing that supports the bottom of the drive shaft and the pinion gear. Can these be replaced? Can it just be sealed with RTV?

    25HP Evinrude Lower unit trouble and compatibility question

    Last week I bought an older boat that had a 25HP 1977 Evinrude on it. It ran for about 3 minutes and then the prop wouldn't spin. Turns out the lower unit was almost empty of oil and the pinion gear no longer has any teeth. Does anyone know of a source with used gearsets or lower units...
