    any ideas on what seal needs replacing? after pulling lower unit are there any special tools needed to replace seal? any advise would be appreciated. the motor is a 1976 merc 7.5 ~Aaron

    7.5 leaking oil behind prop

    my 1976 merc 7.5 has an oil leak coming from behind the prop as stated, what is required to replace the seal? I'm very mechanically inclined but haven't worked on many outboards. instructions or any tricks, things to lookout for or advise would be much appreciated. Thanks, ~Aaron

    water intake port 7.5 help

    I noticed a screen below the cavitation fin and 2 above, are they both intakes? where does it get water? can I attach muffs and a hose or do I need to put it in a tank? thanks for any help. ~Aaron

    motor runs great but last time out while getting to a plane engine bogged at full throttle, I did notice that when pumping the bulb I could see air squirt into fuel filter and bulb never got very hard, since I'm assuming this is wrong and probably my source of bogging what is the most likely...
