    Says its a 9.8HP 110 on the cover. Having trouble finding the serial on some of the sites that I see with the lists and wanna look for a manual. Especially an operator manual as this is my first boat and outboard and am unsure how to operate and maintain. Serial: 5638605

    Just wondering if there was anyone local that could show me how to use my 9.8 and see if its ready to hit the water. I hate to pay a tech when I know nothing about them as it leaves the door open for unneeded 'fixes' such as changing the headlight fluid on a car.

    9.8HP Merc oil change

    I just got my first boat. Bought it from my uncle and it has a Merc 9.8 on it. Does this take oil or just the oil in the gas mix?
