    1971 50hp no spark

    I have replaced the power pack ($165) and still don't have any spark. I checked both spark plugs (using a screwdriver to check for spark) and nothing. Any ideas on where to go from here? I can't imagine that both coils would have gone out at the same time. Thanks in advance.

    1970 40 hp Johnson on a '71 Glastron V156

    I have a 1970 model 40 hp Johnson motor I am thinking about putting on a 1971 model Glastron V156. The smallest motor I have seen on one of these boats is 60hp. I am not looking to go fast, I just want to get out on the water. If I do this, am I going to have problems? Thanks in advance...
