    1979 Johnson 150 V6 Low Compression

    Ive been working on this motor and found low compression on one of the cylinders , 90 on one -120 across the rest . My question is " can just one cylinder be worked " ? And how difficult is the process. Ive got a SELOC Manual to go by , not very detailed in this area.

    1979 150 Jonhson NO Fuel

    I rebuilt all three carbs per SELOC Manual and cant figure out why they are not operating properly. Motor turns over great. Ipump the fuel bulb til it was hard, and could hear the bowls in the carbs filling up.

    If I pump my fuel line bulb,shouldnt I be able to see something at the carbs

    1979 150 Johnson not getting fuel

    This all started out as a simply fix for the mechanically inclined. Ive rebuilt all three carburators and replaced both fuel pumps. Checked all fuel hoses for leaks and blockage and everything seems to be o.k. But Im still not getting gas.... The only thing I have not checked is the pressure...

    1979 150 V6 Johnson

    I recently bought a 1979 Johnson V6 150 and could not get it to run . It turns over great ,but will not stay running. Ive rebuilt the Carburators (3). replaced the bulbed fuel line. Replaced both fuel filters. Where is the vent located in most tanks.
