    Knowing your gear ratio is great theory, seeing how many RPM's your motor will pull with a full fuel tank and a normal operating load is better for reality. Have you taken it out? That number on the outdrive might be a 1.52 ratio, right hand rotation. I don't know Alphas much.

    I would love to visit there. I dropped some people off in Nantucket in August, and have always loved the area. If I only had to tow the boat, I would have an F150 with a 3.5 Eco Boost. My horse trailer that is specially built for my Clydesdale gets up to 12K plus.

    It says that on the tow capacity charts, but, living in the Colorado Rockies, if you tow 8,000 lbs with a truck rated for 10,000, you will have a moment of clarity where you resolve to never do that again. I like a little headroom.

    Recognize this tower?

    I agree. There is a center section of the back brace that looks to be removable, and may fold down after loosening the front brace. I was hoping to find a video, since holding up the tower while unbolting is uncomfortable.
