    1978 140 HP Johnson

    Motor will not get my boat on plane. 3000 RPM under load. 125 PSI on all cylinders. Fuel pump check valve had a pin hole, I rebuilt the pump.     Trim Problem

    I have a 1978 140 Johnson. 3 wire trim. Will go down but not up?? Can short across solenoid and it goes up fine. I installed a new solenoid. It made no difference. I have it wired per the diagram in the cover over the solenoid. New switch in the binnacle control. Full of fluid. Any ideas...
