    1981 7.5hp not getting power????

    I have a 1981 7.5 hp johnson that is getting no power at all to it. Also it does not have any compression at all. Can someone tell me whats wrong with it. Thanks.

    1981 7.5 johnson water leak in gearcase

    I have a small stream of water coming out of the spit hole (for lack of better name) and usuall that is enough but now there is water leaking out of everywhere the bottom part of my motor cover is filled with water. Does anyone know why my motor is doing this.

    Replace the piston rings or not?

    I have a 1981 7.5 hp johnson and i am losing power constantly. I am pretty sure that it is the piston ring that has shrunk but does anyone have any suggestions.

    need help finding year

    model number: j8rc1c serial number: e5396952 It is a 7.5 hp johnson seahorse and i need to know the oil to gas mixture. Also can anyone tell me how thick the pull cord is.
