    Hoisting heavy 4 stroke

    I want to mount a 2002 johnson j70pl4sn that weighs about 350. I have an overhead hoist. Where do I hook onto the motor to hoist it? There is lift eye. Is that enough to support the weight or do I need a special lifting attachment?

    Thanks for your response. I will be purchasing controls etc.. for motor. The boat that it will be mounted on is an older Sea Nymph SS 171 ( 17 ft. bow rider.) The previous motor was a small 50 hp force 2stroke and has already been removed. <br />thanks, Rmyer

    I have a 1986 Sea Nymph 16' fish and ski boat that is in great shape. I need a new outboard for it. (Max rating is 90hp) Any suggestions?<br />2 or 4 stroke not an issue.
