    lower end help on '74 6er

    I dont have a manual as of yet due to funds but i plan to get one. my '74 johny 6hp i am trying to replace the impeller since the the water is not pumping at start up and a little after. the lower end i found 4 bolts didnt find anymore to remove but the lower end would not come out. please help!!

    My motor seems to not get enough water in the engine. on the lower end (where the screen is) only very little bubbles come out. By the oil level plug bubble seem to come out strong. the 'stat seems to be damaged but not sure, the spring on the stat you could pull out, also the stat does not...
