    Your motor MIGHT NOT be hitting on all cylinders. I have a V4 Johnson and with one spark plug not firing - i was only able to get 4300 rpms..... figured that out and now I am back to 5500 rpm. Outboards ALWAYS sound right but often are not firing on all cylinders. Best tool is a timing ligt...

    Yep I have a similar repair kit in my 2025 Crown Signia. There are "spare tires" that fit however vehicle modification is required - no thanks. I will call for repair ;)
