    78Johnson 70 wont idle, hard to start

    my first boat, WOT is excellent just floods carbs trying to start and refuses to idle at low rpms making it hard to get it moving forward before it stalls. If it gets moving it runs all day fine until i slow down to idle then it stalls and is hard to start again. any help is apprec..

    1978 johnson 70 seahorse

    Just got my first boat a 1978 terry ABF with a johnson 70 on it. When I purchased it, The man put the hose clamps on it set the lever on warm up position pushed key in and it fired right up then stalled repeated the process and it stayed running.
