    have you closed tha over temp sensor ta see if it has a buzzer on tha other end somewhere?.. merc use ta put tha buzzer in tha control box sometimes.. merc temp gauge?.. do you know it tha temp gauge sensor is calibrated for tha gauge.. more importantly is a mech, not electric water pressure...

    this would lean towards a ecu pump driver problem.. disconnect tha pump from tha ecu power.. both positive and negative... hook tha pump up to any purple (switched hot) on positive and ground on motor.. this by passes tha ecu.. pump will run anytime key is on....

    one thing for sure tha motor in tha picture is NOT a 200 with vertical reeds but even MercNet says tha number is a 200??? its either a 150 or 175... if tha year is right ('82) its a 150.. no 175's in '82.... tha over temp sensor should be mounted between 1 and 3 spark plugs by a triangle shaped...

    only if you change tha "complete" TnT assembly.. yours has different pump and motor and uses (two wire motor) relays.. tha '86 uses (three wire motor) solenoids... think CDI makes an adapter kit to use tha relays with a three wire solenoid system....

    yeah, understand.. ya might wanna get tha regular oiler delete kit (check Pro Marine site) to install.. its not expensive and gives ya a cleaner look.. never did understand why on some mercs had tha bleed bibs on all 6 cylinders and some only 5???

    my experience with tha module is very limited.. i can't remember any motor i've had that we retained a functioning oiler.. not because of failure of tha oiler it was because we usually had "0" knowledge of tha motors "TRUE" past.. ie: hours, how it was maintained, ever been over heated etc...
