    do motor mounts get epoxied to hull?

    The wood motor mounts in my 1989 Wellcraft 215 Eclipse appeared to be glassed to the hull around their edges but not puttied to the hull as stringers often are. When I install new wood mounts should I use peanut butter to bed them to the hull? Thanks
