    1986 50hp force will only idle!

    My 50 hp force starts and idles perfectly<br />but as soon as I try to accelerate, it dies. the only way to make it run fast is to close the choke. I cleane the fuel pump and carb but to no avail. what do i try next?

    Recently purchased 1986 50hp force engine. the motor starts and idles perfectly, but<br />as soon as the throttle is engaged it dies. It will only run fast if I hold the choke closed. I cleaned the carb and fuel pump but it didn't help. Any suggestions!

    recently purchased a 1986 50 hp force.. The motor starts easily, but will only idle. As soon as the throttle is engaged it dies unless the choke is held closed. I cleaned the carb and fuel filter but it did'nt help. Any suggestions?
