    Battery Wont Charge - 1979 Mercury 115 hp distributor model

    hi, My battery wont charge when the motor is running - Any ideas Rectifier possibly)? Also I discovered milky oil in the lower unit, no signs of any cracks etc.The motor otherwise runs fine. Would appreciate any assistance with any of the above, plus where to get parts, etc Thanks P:)

    1987 85hp force - Prop stiff?

    Hi, When I tried turning the prop (neutral and motor off) the prop was pretty stiff with no free rotation - is this normal? I am anyway going to change the gear case oil. Thanks for your advice.

    I just bought a 1987 bayliner plus 85hp force. I assume the fuel mix is 50:1 and this is placed directly in the boat gas tank? Also, should I use premium gas and what brand of oil would you recommend. thanks very much
