    1981ish 9.8 Merc

    I'm working on a 9.8 mercury and the throttle lever has broken. How do you set the lever correctly? It seems if you set it so the throttle plate closes all the way it won't open all the way. If you set it so it will open all the way, it won't close all the way. Thanks for whatever you can...

    Oil seal and slinger on water pump cover

    The manual shows a rubber centrifugal slinger and an oil seal above the waterpump cover on the drive shaft for a 7.5hp SN 4135037. I don't recall the slinger ever being there...is it important? Where does it go, pushed down on top of the oil seal? The oil seal has always been there. Thanks

    Propeller Identity on Merc 200

    I have a Merc 200 20HP, S/N 4410735 and I'm trying to identify the prop on it. It's 2 bladed and has 8087822 stamped on the outside. The leading 8 and 0 are rotated 90 degrees from the orientation of the 8782 in the middle as is the trailing 2. Any help would be appreciated.
