Just finished installing a ski pylon on my Ranger fish and ski and I'm second guessing where I installed the pins for the support braces. I've seen them installed Just about everywhere such as splash wells, top caps and the decks.. Wheres the correct location? I'm guessing the deck.
Doing some boat shopping and ran across nice boat with a 1995 Merc 7.4, 454 with alpha outdrive. I know ..if I have to ask then I probably can't afford it..but whats the fuel consumption like with these monsters? The boat is a 23ft Larson BR.

Still searching for a new (to me) boat. Found another boat that looks real promising..It's a 2000 four winns horizon 210, has a 5.0 volvo penta. Just curious if any one has one and what they're opinions of it are? Is the 5.0 enough motor for this boat?
