I have a 9.9 1989 mariner that I'd like to boost the power to. Can this engine be change with carbs etc or not and where would I get the instructions and parts? Thanks.
Is there a noticable difference between the lower and upper speed power or torque of a 25 hp ob engine. I have a 16 foot lund used on a lake with a 25 hp limit. Which brand of engine seems to match up best(merc, honda, nisson, etc?)
I am getting a lund boat with a 9.9 hp Mariner engine. Both 1989 with about 24 hours use on them. Then the whole rig stored in a garage in ohio until now. What is the value of the engine? Look and sounds like it is right off the shelf from Mariner.
Is there a site that lists by serial number/model number the age of your motor?<br />It would be easier to scan yourself instead of everyone asking the same question all the time.<br /><br />Mine is a Johnson 3hp Mod# JW-13, Ser# 165P640<br />thanks.
