    No Top-End Power - '96 Evinrude 6hp

    Help. I've got new plugs, new fuel/tank/oil for my 1996 6hp Evinrude. It starts right away and idles great, but I have no top-end power (nothing above 2300rpm or so). At WOT, it is like at 1/4 throttle. Here's the kicker...sometimes it will give short bursts of thrust and the idle will increase...

    14' Alum Deep V Max HP / Max Weight

    I just got my first deep-v aluminum boat last week. It's a 14'. Max. HP rating is 30. It's got an old 1974 15 Johnson on it. Maxs out around 14-15 mph...Looking for a bit more speed... especially when I get three people in the boat.<br /><br />30hp seems like a lot of power...and extra weight...
