    Recoil problem on my '58 Sportwin

    I can't figure the recoil out on my '58 10 hp sportwin. I have replaced the dawgs on the under side of the recoil and all parts are there according to the parts diagram. Whenever I go to start it the recoil rope will pull out 8 times out of 10 without catching the flywheel. It's like the dawgs...

    Fuel pump application ?

    I am putting a remote fuel pump on my 58 sportwin. I am a parts manager for a john deere dealership and have access to many fuel pumps. My question is: Will a fuel pump off of a 20hp 4 stroke engine work on my 10 hp 2 stroke engine? Thanks for all your help.

    A snag when installing fuel pump on '58 sportwin

    I have found the by-pass cover plate and the fuel pump to convert it. after I installed the cover, I was getting ready to install the fuel pump but noticed that the "in" and "out" came out on the right hand side.
