    Gear Change in Cobra SX drive

    1995 Cobra SX drive with 5.8 EFI in a 23 ft Four Winns Horizon. I have an opportunity to buy a never used Cobra SX drive with 1.43 gear ratio. My current drive is a 1.51 ratio. Would using a smaller pitch prop make up for the gear ratio difference?
