I have a 81 75 hp evinrude(sport) that i cant get the trim to go up from the switch. I have chased wires,replaced the solenoid,checked the switch just cant seem to be able to figure this one out. :confused:
i am new at the whole maintance thing on outboards i have a 75 hp evinrude 1987 model i believe i was wondering what kind of things can you do yourself for a tune-up of sorts other thatn just the plug...ie where is the air filter if it has one...once again you have an outboard rookie here...
If i am going to pull the cap on my boat is there any special things that i need to know it looks real simple but thats what scares me i have never done this sort of thing before. Jay
I have a 1987 75hp evinrude on the back of my bass boat it is a 1987 cagun the trim will go down but will not go up with the switch. If you cross the silnoid in the back it will go up. I have replaced the silnoid but same problem. Checked the switch its good. I am at wits end
