    OMC Manual '79 work for '78 ?

    I know where I can buy an original OMC manual for 1979. Mine is a 1978. (400). Does anyone know if it will be the same as a '78? I do know that on the inside cover it lists that it works for a # 990243C and mine is a 990243D. But as far as I have read, I think that '78 & '79 should be the same.
