Manifold & Risers no longer available

I am all for making a bracket. What is considered the "Volvo standard elbow"? This is the best I can do on short notice, the riser goes into a 90 deg elbow to the exhaust tube.

Manifold & Risers no longer available

Yes, it's a Ford 302. Thanks to all for the suggestions. I'll have a look around. I was just googling the VP part #s which wasn't working.

Manifold & Risers no longer available

Yes. It would run for a few secs on water, then stall. The mating surfaces between riser and manifold were rusty. I filed them down and got new gaskets. Ran the engine for 20 mins to get it up to temp, ran fine.

Manifold & Risers no longer available

I have a '94 5.0 Fi engine with aging risers and manifolds that will eventually / soon need to be replaced. I have looked at many sites, and don't see any available for my engine. Suggestions on what to do?

    Exhaust Riser?

It was only for about one minute. I had removed the fresh water pump, recirculating pump, alt, power steering. The engine hadn't been run in five years, and it needed both pumps replaced. One of the bolts holding the recirculating pump in place had broken, and I had my mech use his oxy torch...

    Exhaust Riser?

Well, ya just had to go and ask that question. :) I took the rubber boots off, and some rusted pieces fell off, but not too bad.

A before and after of the riser. Will work on the manifolds tomorrow.

    Exhaust Riser?

Using a not so "large bastard file". Not through the putting/pitting yet. The starboard side was much worse.

    Exhaust Riser?

I pulled the risers and manifolds. As I suspected, I found water in part of the port manifold. The engine mounting surfaces look fine. The riser mating surfaces don't look too bad. I will try cleaning them up and getting new gaskets. See attached pics, these are the port side, starboard is...

The engine quits a few seconds after starting.

    Exhaust Riser?

Yup. Did that when I first bought the boat. I saw water leaking between the riser and the manifold. The manifolds were practically welded to the block had to hit them fairly hard to get them off. To clarify, I did have it running, not for long, w/o water. Worked fine. Only ran into a...

    Exhaust Riser?

Ok, will do, thanks. Probably going to need new gaskets for the engine block, I would imagine.

    Exhaust Riser?

I think I need a new exhaust manifold and risers. Is there a way to check this? I haven't run my engine in 5+ years. The risers are 13+ years old. I started the engine and it ran, not with water. I then did maintenance on it, new water pumps, refreshed electrical connections, and other...

    Updated Manual Link?

Good idea. Thanks. I just found the problem. I used the KIS method, "Check all connections" and re-did ground connections. Lots of corrosion. Found another set of ground connected wires, nut was loose.

    Updated Manual Link?

Looking for OEM Service Manuals for my Volvo Penta Engine. Link is broken / empty. https://boatinfo.no/lib/library.html Is there a new place where the manuals are, or were they permanently removed? After several years of non-use, it won't initialize, ie, start the pumps to prime the fuel...
