    not getting gas or won't start

    Hey Guys Have a 1978 evinrude 115hp outboard. Had it out on weekend and it just lost power about half as fast at full throttle, headed back to dock on way back it got full power back and then it was sporadic the rest of way.     motor won't engage

    Shift lever out of neutral and give it throttle but won shift until almost half throttle, is this just as simple as a cble adjustment on shifter cable as it may be stretched our binding? 1978 115hp evinrude outboard. Sorry Newbie

    When I trim motor up and then give it throttle motor drops back down, im guessing it should stay where its trimmed to. I do have a leak and have topped it up but still same issue.
