    Help with prop?

    So should I go with a 10" or 11" pitch? I checked the prop again and the diameter is actually 12 1/4", not 11 3/4" as I earlier stated. Does diameter have a big effect? Thanks in advance.

    Help with prop?

    I recently bought a 2018 18' pontoon boat with 40 hp Yamaha 4 str. Boat hits 15 mph at 5000 rpm full throttle. Full throttle can be 5500-6000 rpm. Current prop is 11 3/4 X 9. Any thoughts on a different prop for better top end without over revving?

    Motor loweres by itself very slowly after being tilted up with power trim.

    I have a 2001 70HP Yamaha that I have not had a single issue with. Until now.     Neutral position on 1963 Merc 60 twin 6hp

    This might be a stupid question but as I don't have a manual, is neutral the middle position between up and down? Is forward up or down? Putting it in the water after rebuild to test. Thanks

    63 Mrec 60 6hp. Stop Button

    Does the stop button on the older Merc 60 twin complete a circuit or open one to shut the motor off. I'm re-building one and the stop button area is damaged and I can't tell. I know you can stop it by choking, but want to restore to original condition. Thanks in advance.
