    Fuel dripping out of carburetor

    I have a 1957 Johnson 35 hp outboard. After a few pulls of the starter, it starts to drip fuel from the carb throat. I got it to run for about 4 seconds, but can't get it to start now. Is that normal for the gas to be dripping from the carb throat? Any suggestions? Thanks

    How to set timing?

    Hi, I have a 1957 Johnson 35 hp outboard engine that the only thing stopping it from running is the timing on it. It backfires, but thats it. Does anyone know how to set the timing? Thanks

    No spark, help with wiring maybe?

    Hi all, I have a 1957 35 hp seahorse Johnson outboard and I have no spark. All the points condensers, all that stuff is brand new. Plug wires, and plugs also new. I don't am stuck on why it won't get spark. the wiring is very strange on it, and jumbled up. I would try to rewire it all, but dont...

    No spark on bottom cylinder

    Hello, I am having trouble getting spark on the bottom cylinder. I think it may have something to do with the vacuum cut out switch or the mercury switch? The engine is a 1957 Johnson seahorse 35 hp. Rde19. Thanks

    1957 35 hp Johnson seahorse won't start

    I have a Johnson and I can't get it to run. It has spark, good compression, gas is getting to carb, new hoses, new coil,condenser and points. I'm stuck I don't know what to do next. It hasn't been started for about 20 years. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
