    I repeated the steps above. Pressure to 10-12psi. Rotated the drive/prop/shift shafts. No leaks. Let is sit 30 min and pressure held at the same levels as started.     I did rotate the drive shaft, but did nothing with the shift shaft and the prop shaft. I still have it all apart so I will check that once again.

    There are two places that I can go to. One of them said they dont weld and the other guy gave me a run down how this whole thing needs to be one solid peace. Suggesting a new lower unit.

    This one is completely broken off. I called my dealer and they said they will check out the lower unit to make sure there is no other damage.. If there is no damage they said they will send it to Mercury to weld a new skeg on. Estimate for that was $650 with shipping. And 30-45 day lead time.
