    Merc 25 HP - What year?

    I am looking to purchase a 25 hp Mercury. I am not sure what year it is (owner has not found papers yet). The serial # is 6402432. The owner thinks it is mid 90's model. I looked on parts express site and it looks like a pre-1980 number to me. Anyone tell me what year it is?<br /><br />Thanks

    Fuel Mixture

    I'm in the process of getting my Dad's old Mercury 9.8 back in running condition. I believe it to be a 1968 year model. Serial #1982433. I'm unsure of the gas/oil mixture. The original tank rusted out years ago, and the mixture was printed on it. Thanks for your assistance.
